Fortnite is one of the most popular games globally, and with a player base in the hundreds of millions, the competition is nothing short of stiff. I’ve immersed myself in “Fortnite Battle Royale,” the most popular gaming mode right now; however, if you’re a gamer and looking to get better at Fortnite if you’re struggling.
Here’s what I’d suggest to anyone who’s struggling to get better at “Fortnite”:
Find comfortable control settings: This tip is the first thing you’ll want to adjust before progressing further.
Note: Navigate to the Game section of the Settings menu, and you’ll see several settings you can adjust. There, you’ll see your controller sensitivities:
- Mouse Sensitivity
- Mouse ADS Sensitivity
- Mouse Scope Sensitivity
However, if you’re a PC gamer or play via console using a controller. You’re required to adjust these instead:
- Controller Sensitivity X
- Controller Sensitivity Y
- Controller ADS Sensitivity
- Controller Scope Sensitivity
Adjust these until you find something that feels comfortable to you. Professional players also write dozens of guides out there, so you can try to mimic their settings.

Try Playing On A Different Device
According to gamers, if you’re playing a Play Station 4 console, try to install and play on any high-end device like iPhone X upward and see how improving your game can get.
Study Professional Gamers
This tip is highly recommended for gamers who don’t want to switch from console to mobile device. For example, suppose you’re struggling and trying to figure out how to improve your game in Fortnite. Right now, all you have to do is watch a professional gamer on Twitch or Mixer.
Furthermore, actively study them and ask yourself questions like, “Why are they building this structure in this location?” Or “Why did they pick up that weapon?”. Notice everything they do to keep up with their profession.
Note: If you find that it’s not working correctly, or you don’t enjoy that style of play, try watching a different streamer until you can find someone you genuinely love their pattern of the game.
Pay Attention To Sounds
This helps so many gamers to kill faster than expected. The audio in “Fortnite” is excellent. You can hear if someone is near you, above you, or below you.
Practice Aiming With The Best Weapons
This is probably the last step to improving your game. As we all know, a soldier with a lousy aim always dies more quickly than expected. So, try to figure out the best weapon with good aim, accuracy, fire rate, and mobility. Once you’ve figured it out, make sure you practice aiming very well to improve your killing skill.
