There are different ways to troubleshoot this kind of error report. However, follow the below methods to get your PS4 working again:
Method One: Check Your Network Connection
The more you spend time playing games online with your console, the more the modem/router stores temporary files that may clog up the connection to your devices. So, this may stop your devices from connecting to the Internet, and that’s why it is a good idea to start troubleshooting by checking your Internet connection.
To ensure you have a secure Internet, please ensure you get the latest router firmware update, use a cable connection if the problem occurs while using a wireless connection, and make sure the Ethernet cable is shorter. Additionally, if you notice you can not switch cables, try to use a different channel and disconnect all other connected devices that use a more significant amount of bandwidth. Most importantly, try to connect to a different network if possible.
Method Two: Reboot your Router/Modem and Restart your PS4
Reboot your router and modem and restart the PS4. Unplug the PS4 and your modem/router for about two minutes. Then plug the modem/router back in and turn the console on. Check to see if you can connect to the internet.
Method Three: Restore PS4 to Default Settings via Safe Mode
- Push the power button on your console to turn off the PlayStation.
- Now, hold on for just a minute and then press and hold the power button again. Again, listen to the beeps, and make sure you hear the second beep before releasing it.
- Then, connect the controller using the USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.
- Choose option 4 Restore Default Settings and wait for the process to finish.
- Now, connect the console to the Wi-Fi again.
