1. Unplug the Fire Stick and let it cool down

The best way to troubleshoot a Fire Stick that is overheating is by unplugging it from the wall outlet and letting it calm down before plugging it back in. Now, try to unplug it from the television and its USB power source and locate a well-ventilated area to place it so it can call down.

2. Use the HDMI Extender

Note that when you’re unboxing your Fire Stick, there’s an HDMI extender in the package. This extender is there for a reason, and it would be good to use the HDMI extender to plug your Fire Stick into the TV. However, without this extender, your device will be too close to the television, which might block the airflow.

3. Clear the Fire Stick Cache
