What Is Mobdro?: What Does It Do And How To Use It

Whether you’re a streaming veteran or more recently cut the cord, you might be wondering what else is out there besides Netflix and Hulu. Unlike these subscription-based streaming services with limited video libraries, Mobdro pulls content from various online sources at zero cost to the user. In this walkthrough, you will be learning what Mobdro is? What does It do, and how to use It.

Mobdro is an application to watch TV online. You can use it to tune into TV channels and video streams from your smartphone or tablet through a data connection or WiFi network.

Mobdro Channels List

The following are the main categories available:

  • Channels: complete list of TV channels that we can access from the app.
  • News: here, we can access new bulletins and information worldwide.
  • Series: TV channels that broadcast television series over the Internet.
  • Movies: different full-length movies that are published non-stop.
  • Sports: all sorts of sports broadcasts such as football, basketball, tennis or golf.
  • Music: from music video channels to others, the likes of MTV or VH1 with loads of different contents.
  • Gaming: contents about the world of video games.
  • Pets: videos featuring cats, dogs, live cams in aquariums and zoos…
  • Tech: all sorts of videos and programs about technology.
  • Podcasts: here we can find all sorts of radio programs from all over the world.
  • Spiritual: religious contents.
  • Others: a category that includes all the other channels that are hard to categorize.

Mobdro has two possible functioning modes: Freemium, which can be considered its free version that contains adverts within the app, and the Premium or paid version. This subscription model offers us extra functions that aren’t available in the free version, such as the possibility to download content to play them offline by recording them previously or support for Chromecast so that we can send the signal to a television set.

Is Mobdro Safe?

Unlike apps on the Google Play Store, which are vetted for viruses and other malicious files, Mobdro is a third-party app that leaves a device open to attacks from harmful APK files.

That being said, Mobdro has been deemed relatively safe when downloaded through the official website.

The safety of Mobdro also depends on how you use the app.

There isn’t much to worry about if you only use it to stream entirely free content from reputable websites. Avoid streaming illicit content that could result in security or legal issues.
