Stress Test Your PC – To help you test your system, In this article, we’ve collated all the best tools you can use to stress-test your PC (CPU, RAM & GPU).

If you are having problems with an Old system or your upgraded PC, stress testing is recommended to give you an idea of whether your PC is stable or not. And also gives you a hint of where the problem is coming from.

Hardware Monitoring Tools to Use While Running Stress Tests

It is crucial to monitor your system’s temperature and load levels when running a stress test on your system. The tools are:

1. Core Temp

Core Temp is a portable CPU monitoring tool that will deliver real-time temperature readings and load percentages on your processor.

If there is an Intel processor, It will provide readings for the temperature and load on each core on your CPU.

Core Temp also gives you some basic information about your processor and lets you know the voltage and frequency your CPU is running.

2. GPU-Z

You can monitor the temperatures and load on your GPU and your GPU’s clock speed, onboard memory clock speed, fan speed, and the amount of memory being used, among other things, with GPU-Z.

3. MSI Afterburner

MSI Afterburner is a graphics card hardware monitoring tool. It provides you same information GPU-Z offers you.

It will also allow you to do the following:

  • Overclock your GPU
  • Set custom fan profiles
  • Run in-game benchmarks
  • Record gameplay videos or take in-game screenshots.

4. HWiNFO64

HWiNFO64 allows you to monitor multiple core components in your system, track temperatures and other information on your CPU, GPU, RAM, motherboard, track fan speeds, component loads, etc.

CPU Stress Test Tools

You can use the tools listed below to stress test your CPU, check how stable your processor is running, and more.

1. Prime95

Prime95 essentially uses the CPU to find Mersenne prime numbers, which activates a heavy workload on the CPU.

If Prime95 runs for 6 hours without interruption, it shows that the CPU is good and will not have issues over its usable lifetime.

2. Aida64 (PAID )

AIDA64 is not free, and it offers a System Stability Test which can stress everything from the CPU to RAM to the GPU.

It will notify you if the CPU starts slowing down when the temperatures are too high, and if this happens, it is recommended to confirm if the CPU cooler is installed correctly.

3. IntelBurn Test

IntelBurn test will help you push your CPU to the maximum to know if it is stable.

RAM Stress Test Tools

The tools listed below can be used to test your system memory or to diagnose any issues that may be going on with your RAM.

1. MemTest86

MemTest86 will test your system’s memory and try to expose any problems affecting it.

2. Prime95 (Blend Test)

Prime95  blend is slightly different from the one we explained on CPU test tools. Its blend tests the RAM but does not point out any error. Prime95’s Blend test is an excellent option to check the RAM stability.

GPU Stress Test Tools

You can use the benchmarks listed below to stress test your GPU.

Uningine’s Heaven & Valley stress test your graphics card for stability after overclocking it or monitor how your graphics card performs.

2. 3DMark (Stress Test Tool)

3DMark monitors the clock speed, framerate, load, and temperatures during each test. It has a basic edition that is free to use, while the full version costs $30

3. FurMark Stress Test Tool

FurMark’s reputation does not attract much love due to the unrealistic amount of stress it puts on the graphics card. You can only use it for short periods.
