This is the time of year when Samsung doesn't want important information about the Samsung Galaxy S24 leaksmonths before the phones come out. It shouldn't be a surprise that we now know more about the S24 and S24 Ultra, or at least the phones we think will have those names.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is set to come out early next year. An announcement is expected for January 17, and the phones will go on sale in early February.
Once the phones come out, they will have One UI 6 or 6.1 installed. This is on top of Android14 and adds new generative AI features like a wallpaper creator and redesigned emoji.

It's not a secret that Samsung releases a new line of Galaxy smartphonesevery year at the start of the year. There are only a few weeks left until the first Unpacked event of 2024. However, rumors are already flying, and reliable leaks are beginning to show what the Korean company is likely planning.
Evan Blass, a leaker, shared a spec sheetthat he said would list the parts of the Galaxy S24 lineup, along with a countdown that said the next Unpacked would happen on January 17. Pretty much everyone knows that Samsung has three Galaxy phones in stock: the normal model, an S24+, and an S24 Ultra. At least in the US, Canada, and China, all three will run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. People in other places may have to use the company's own Exynos 2400, as The Vergepoints out.
In general, all three phones should keep looking pretty much the same. After all, Samsung has made all of its phones look the same since 2023, even the cheaper ones like the Galaxy A14. It's hard to think that next year will bring a completely new design, and early renders show the same thing.
The S24 Ultra seems to have the same 200-megapixel main sensor as the S23 Ultra. The S24 and S24 Plus, on the other hand, only have 50-megapixel sensors. It can zoom up to 10 times on the S24 Ultra, but only up to 3 times on the other two types.
The S24 and S24 Plus are said to have 10-megapixel telephoto sensors, and the Ultra is said to have two telephoto lenses: one 50-megapixel lens with a 5x optical zoom that can be cropped to offer a 10x zoom, and the other 10-megapixel lens with a 3x optical zoom. There are rumors that all three phones will have ultrawide cameras with 12 MP and selfie cameras with 12 MP.
The leaked data sheet says that the S24 has a 4,000mAh battery, the S24 Plus has a 4,900mAh battery, and the Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery. All of them are waterproof and dustproof up to IP68, and the spec sheet shows that the S24 Ultra will be made of titanium instead of aluminum like the S24 and S24 Plus.
Are you interested in seeing pictures of the phones in all their colors and from every angle? David Martinshared some on X. The three phones look a lot like the phones that came out in 2023. The only difference is that the S24 Ultra's screen is said to be totally flat, instead of having some small curves like the S23 Ultra's screen did. Black, gray, purple, and yellow are the colors that are offered. You may be able to find more colors on Samsung's website.

Final Thoughts

It's easy to think about what's coming next, even though the Samsung Galaxy S23 line still has some of the best Android phones on the market right now, especially the huge Galaxy S23 Ultra. Samsung just released two new folding phones, one of which is the huge Galaxy Z Fold 5. But if you're not interested in foldable, the Galaxy S24 line, which will come out early next year, is the next big thing from the company.
We're slowly learning more about what Samsung's next phone might look like, even though design reports about the Galaxy S24 have been slow to spread. If you've been paying attention to Apple's style choices over the past few years, you won't be surprised to hear that the S24 lineup might follow their lead. Depending on the model, it could be in more than one way.
