The process is the same no matter what kind of PCyou own, so you can repeat it on any computer once you learn the process.

What is a Screenshot?

Screenshots can also be called screengrabs or screencaps. Whatever you call it, this allows you to capture exactly what’s displayed on your desktop screen. Practically, we keep figuring out more useful screenshots in this modern age of computers.

How to Take a Screenshot on Dell Laptops and Computers

There are several ways to take a screenshot on any Windows computer. You can screenshot using the Print Screen key or Snipping Tool.

Method 1: The Print Screen (Prt Sc) Combos

Dell typically labels this key “PrtScnor “prt sc(though the exact label may vary from model to model) and is found along the top row of keys. In addition, on most Dell laptops, you’ll find the Print Screen key beside the Delete key.
If you want to capture the entire screen in one go, press the Windows key and the Prt Sc key simultaneously. Your screen will flicker for a second, meaning that it has successfully taken a screenshot.

Method 2: Screenshot with Snipping Tool on Dell Laptop

Snipping Tool is an alternative tool to screenshots on laptops and computers. This built-in Windows feature allows you to capture your screen in different shapes. To go to the Snipping Tool, click on the Start Menu and type ‘Snipping Tool’ in the search section. The application will appear with a variety of options at your disposal.
Select ‘New’ or press ‘Ctrl + N’ together. However, the rectangular snip is the default option, but you can choose the shape you want to capture in your screenshot.
