There are different browsers out there, but each browser has its way of clearing or deleting cookies. The instructions below show you how to delete cookies on many popular browsers.

How to Delete Cookies on Windows Browsers

Here’s how to delete cookies on Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 11, and Microsoft Edge On Windows

1. Google Chrome

  • Locate and launch your main menu on Windows PC.
  • Click on “More Tool” and select Clear Browsing Data.
  • Choose the items you want to delete, including your cookies.
  • Select the period you would like affected.
  • Click Clear Browsing Data.
Note: You can use Incognito Mode to automatically delete cookies and other session data when you close your browser window. Push (Ctrl + Shift + N) to switch to Incognito if you don’t know-how.

2. Firefox

  • On your main toolbar, click on Preferences.
  • Now, select the Advanced panel.
  • Choose the Network tap.
  • Scroll till you get to under Cached Web Content.
  • Push clear now.

3. Internet Explorer 11

  • On the main toolbar, select Settings.
  • Now, click on “Options.”
  • Go to “History” and click “Select” under it.
  • Select the cookies check box, then click Delete
Note: You can also use InPrivate Browsing in Internet Explorer (found under Settings > Safety > InPrivate Browsing).

4. Microsoft Edge

  • Click on the three horizontal dots in the upper-right corner or press Alt+F.
  • Now, select “Settings.”
  • Choose Privacy, search, and services from the left pane.
  • Then, choose the three-lined menu button at the top left.
  • Now, choose what to clear from the Clear browsing data section of your Microsoft Edge.
  • Ensure you check all Cookies and other site data before proceeding to the next step.
  • Select the time range you want to delete or All time option to delete everything your browser ever stored.
  • Now, select clear.

How to Delete Cookies on Mac

Here’s how to delete cookies on Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari In Windows.

1. Deleting Cookies from Google Chrome on Mac

  • Go to your Mac main toolbar and choose “History.”
  • Now, choose” Show History” and “Clear Browsing Data.”
  • The select item you want to delete includes cookies, and choose the period you would like affected.
  • Click on “Clear Browsing Data.”

2. Deleting Cookies in Firefox on Mac

  • From the main toolbars and choose “History.”
  • Then, select Clear Recent History.
  • Select the period you would like affected and the items you would like to delete, including cookies.
  • Click Clear Now.

3. Deleting Cookies in Safari on Mac

  • On your main menu toolbar, select “History.”
  • Then, select Clear History and Website Data.
  • Select the period you would like affected.
  • Click Clear History.
